Since childhood, White Bear Custom Cabinetry founder and owner, Sylvan Fisher, has had a passion for woodworking. Sylvan grew up on a dairy farm in the heart of Lancaster County, PA, and was supported by his father at a young age to work with his hands. He was gifted a few simple tools and a corner in the barn to tinker in, and began working on small woodworking projects. His work started with simple crafts built from lumber from a neighbor’s scrap pile, and eventually grew into a small cabinet shop in 2016. Since the early years, the purpose of White Bear Custom Cabinetry has stayed the same: to provide quality handcrafted cabinetry while building relationships with the clients we serve. We’re grateful for the many repeat clients we have worked with in the past several years, and we look forward to serving more families in the years to come!
We like to think outside the box—whether that means making sure a client can still use her stove during the installation process so she doesn’t miss her morning routine, crafting custom island end panels from wood with sentimental value, or tracking down just the right finish or feature to make a design feel complete. We know this is a significant investment, and we consider it a privilege to be part of the process. We’re passionate about what we do and committed to making the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
